At the right time when there is high demand , there images a great initiative to , provide free online vocational courses to disadvantaged youth , provide employment opportunities for industry professionals , provide eco-business courses for future interns in green industries.

The World Virtual School is a division of the Hawking Institute and Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered in the state of Georgia, in the United States.
The Hawking Institute has been in existence since December of 1995; its mission to further the dissemination of equitable, accessible, and affordable education to third world countries, entirely over the internet. Named in honor of Dr. Stephen Hawking of Cambridge University in England, the Hawking Institute works in coordination with the United Nations and other NGOs of the UN.

The WVS works in conjunction with The Personal Learning Center International, of the state of Illinois in the United States, to deliver over 300 courses and 35 career-vocational programs using the Moodle infrastructure, in more than 16 languages, to students around the world at the lowest possible cost.

The World Virtual School is currently a volunteer effort that provides online training to students around the US and the World who want to improve their circumstances. It will empower economically-challenged students to achieve educational goals that will enable them to improve themselves as well as the global community. A unique and state-of-the art-project, we employ instructors with industry skills to empower future leaders, and provide courses such as world languages, eco-business, construction, electronics, Information Technology, medical, business and legal courses. Investment to required to continue course development, capacity building, and promotion and to provide salaries for staff and instructors.

As part of its fundraising ideas , the World Virtual School is competing in a grant at Pepsi .
